The talk around the firehouse is how to get these birds to stop dumping on our rigs (for me--Mr. janitor, it's the mess on the floor). A few fake owls hanging by fishing line, swinging in the wind didn't, phase these guys. I resorted to banging on the rafters with a pike pole and I'm really hoping they wig out and fly away...I'm not much of a killer. I'm one step shy of taking their nests (from the roof deck/rafters) and slinging it into oblivion (aka the woods out back).
Sometimes we can make a mess and drive people mad when we're "uninvited or unwanted." Everyone plots against the person who is pushy. It should be our goal, as First Responders, to work in harmony with the people around us. It should be our goal, as Christians, to learn how to love the people who "dump" on us.
Our Ultimate Chief loves the sparrow just as much as us (crazy but true:)
